About
All about flying and airplanes — for Amherst and Five College students.
Amherst Aviation Club is for Amherst and Five College students who are curious about flying and airplanes — no experience, major, or license required.
This site is a practical starting point: learn how flight training works, explore the FAA materials that pilots use, practice with a flight simulator, and discover real aircraft and aviation history.
What you can find here:
- Clear, beginner-friendly guides to learning to fly
- Official FAA references alongside community resources
- Flight-simulator setup and practice ideas
- Articles on private aircraft, military aircraft, and aviation history
- Books, videos, museums, and organizations worth exploring
Meeting details and a contact method will be announced when they are ready to share.
